Eucalyptus umbra - Broad-leaved White Mahogany

Tree or, in poorer and drier soil, a mallee, the bark is like a stringybark although the tree is not classed as one. Difficult to distinguish from E carnea - E umbra's fruit has a broader convex disc. Also closely resembles E acmenoides. Leaves dark green, glossy, leathery and broad and slightly paler underneath. Flowers in winter, spring and summer.
