Eucalyptus fibrosa - Broad-leaved Ironbark

Bark somewhat flakey,leafed and crumbly and may be dark grey-black to pale grey with tan in the deep furrows. The crown is dense and leaves are wider than other ironbarks and the juvenile leaves are almost circular. It is the only local ironbark with fruit with strongly exserted valves. Dense stands in local forests and woodlands.
