Leptospermum polygalifolium - Lemon Scented Tea Tree
The most common local tea tree, when the leaves are crushed there is a strong lemony scent. Bark is not papery. Has small white flowers. There are different subspecies, polygalifolium subsp has long slender pale green leaves and grows in damp areas, subsp cismontanum grows in heath and has small grey-green leaves. Flowers in Spring and Summer.
